Fishing in Perthshire Scotland
Peter and Victoria are pleased to announce that a FISHING
PERMIT
is will be provided for our guests at Bridge Park Cottage for the 2008 season allowing access to over 20 miles of Trout fishing. We would like
to point out that this is for two rods and for trout fly fishing only. Further permits for others who would like to join you are obtainable from the newsagent
in the village. Full details and maps of the areas covered are in a blue folder at the cottage. |
Welcome to Bridge Park Cottage which is situated in Glen Lochay, just half a mile
outside the village of Killin in Perthshire, Scotland, and so is in easy reach of the local shops and amenities.
It stands in the middle of a large sunny garden laid mainly to lawn and well stocked with shrubs and
trees. There are glorious uninterrupted views up the glen from the garden with the river Lochay 50 yds. away across a meadow and makes ideal accommodation for
holidays in Scotland.
The garden offers complete seclusion and tranquillity;
often the loudest noise you will hear for days on end will be the sheep in the meadow and the odd estate Land Rover driving up the glen. Garden furniture and a
barbecue are provided. |
 "A
family of Pine Martens much appreciated the peanuts put out on the bird table (night after night). What an experience!!"
"I thought that I should write and say how much we all enjoyed our two weeks in
your cottage. It was in a delightful spot and the cottage was clean and tidy with everything we needed. We particularly enjoyed being surrounded by wild life.
We counted 18 sorts of bird in the garden, about half at the peanut dispenser, including a woodpecker. There was a pair of flycatchers which had built their
nest in the trellis work at the front door, swallows nesting in the shed with the broken window and a great tit nesting under the roof tiles at the extreme
North West point of the roof. The stone wall at the edge of front garden housed a family (or families) of bank voles which could be seen throughout the day
running along the top of the stones, accompanied by an occasional field mouse."
